Many a times you get sucked into a person’s blog and know all the intimate details of their life but not really know who they are. We are all hiding behind this online handle and it’s just another mask in our closets. So here I am giving you a sneak peak behind the mask.

My story
My name is Anndrea, I’m a twenty something living in the vicinity of Toronto and a mom to 2 cats. I currently work in the Marketing department of a large financial institution.

In my spare time, I participate in a monthly book club, cuddle with my cats (oh, and my boyfriend), and enjoy a crafting activity now and then.

According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test, I am an ESFJ or an ISFJ and according to some site, it’s compatible with ESTPs which is what BP tested.

To make it easier for you, here’s a list of ‘interests’ that you can chat with me about.

TV : The 100, Once Upon A Time, Degrassi, Parks & Recreation, Switched at Birth, The Fosters, Mindy Project, and New Girl. I watch a lot of other shows too but they’re not good topics of discussion.

Movies: We can discuss the lack of favourite movies. Oh, right – Star Wars & The Sound of Music. Feel free to recommend me movies based on that.

Books: Penumbra’s 24-Hour Book Store by Robin Sloan, oh just go on my goodreads account and pick a book. I have lots to say.

Random topics of interest: Cats, food and recipes, fashion: what’s new, what’s on sale, how to diy, DIY activities, Pinterest, make up tips, hairstyling tips, make up dupes, nail art, traveling, paper, and graphic design.

Butter and Pickle is my boyfriend. No, his real name is not Butter and Pickle but he’s a firm believer of online handles. I met him in 2009 through my best friend Yuki‘s boyfriend. I went to his condo sometime in the summer because I happened to be in the neighbourhood and there was BP. (Apparently, BP spent a lot of time there) I didn’t really talk to him at that point, and nothing came of it. I was dating someone else at that time. A few months later, I saw him again at the Food & Wine show for an event and barely said a word. I saw him again two years later at a barbeque at my place but also didn’t talk to him. Notice the pattern of not talking? It wasn’t until 2013 that we connected again. Yuki was getting married to Bear and I was the maid of honour, and BP was the best man. It was like a romantic comedy. First we butt heads and now, we’re together. But of course, we still butt heads from time to time.

Cats or as my friend calls them … our furry babies
I became a mom in July 2014. There was a huge adopt-a-thon going on at the CNE and BP and I intended to adopt a cat there. Prior to that day, we went to PetSmart to pick out our cat carrier and some cat stuff just to prepare. We fell in love with this cat named Tom at the window but waved goodbye. At the adopt-a-thon, we were disappointed that all the cats were old and we were looking for a kitten. So, we went back to PetSmart to get Tom, now named Basil. His name was inspired from the characters Simon and Baz created by Rainbow Rowell.

We adopted Princess Caroline a few months later to give Basil a playmate. They’re both fixed so no babies. They’re both on a raw food diet and we don’t believe in kibble. Please do not push your beliefs on how we raise our cats.

That’s all for now. I hope you learned lots.
