Paris {third post of the day}

My blog, my rules. If I want to post three times today then so be it. Hahah. Anyway, I want to post up pictures from Paris so here I go. Here is the trip report on Paris in case you missed it.

Me and Sheriff Duffy. Behind us, the Louvre.

The pyramid-like structure which is actually a window overlooking the admissions area of the Louvre.

A picture of Duffy on our way to Notre Dame

He looks like somebody we know… ๐Ÿ™‚ We’re on a cruise right at this point

Looking tired from this whole darn trip and it was also bed time… but dinner time for that one night.

This is foie gras.

Chicken with pureed potatoes

Profiteroles ๐Ÿ™‚ Yum, I quite enjoyed this one.

I took this!

I think I talked about doing an art class in Paris. So we did five exercises. One we had to draw a person in our circle. Next, we had to draw with our left hand. Then we had to draw them without leaving the page. After that we had to draw them without looking at the person. Then we had to draw them with our eyes closed. (all different people but guess which one is Mr.S, and which sketchbook belongs to him…)

Next is to paint something that captures our eye. We both did this bike (we did not consult each other).

More travel sketchbook-ing. If you’re wondering what that weird thing is, it’s actually a poster I tried to replicate. Mr.S’ drawing is of a street corner.

The mint green tea! I was so disappointed I couldn’t find it in London and I couldn’t face Yuki empty handed… but I found it in Paris so YAY!

A tres yummy cake that I bought from Laduree (excuse the lack of accents, I can’t figure it out on my laptop whatever).

Last day in Paris, we were geocaching ๐Ÿ™‚ We stopped by near cannons and close to where they buried Napoleon. Oh look, behind Mr.S sits a ugly hunk of metal. What could that be???

Here’s my Laduree haul. We bought lengua de gato (langue du chat or something) and it was yummy. But did I mention it cost like a fraction of that in the Philippines and actually is authentic and more buttery?? (aka yummier) Also, I don’t really see MUCH of a difference in quality vs the McDonalds macarons. Yes, they come in a plain ol box (I paid more for Omar sister’s box than mine since her box came with six and mine with eight for the same price and same macarons) I guess you’re paying for the brand right and I suppose the selection. But people need to stop being snobs about anything.

The end.

Pre-trip post

Before I go on my trip next week, I just want to make a post on all the goals I want to complete while I’m there! (And totally random but I smell McDonalds fries (this early in the morning, maybe hashbrowns) and I totally want some)

[ ] Go for Afternoon tea
[ ] Visit my cousin
[ ] Buy and try lots of macarons
[ ] Complete at least 3 geocaches
[ ] Buy souvenirs
[ ] Get postcards
[ ] Visit the Eiffel tower
[ ] Complete a painting
[ ] Try frog legs in France
[ ] Try snails

As long as I completed this list, I’ll be happy!

Speaking of geocaching, my friends and I have gone on a geocaching adventure a month ago it seems. The week after, I was craving for more and went to visit a few cache sites myself. It’s quite addicting. Anyway, this cache was really different. It was a very clever hide. If you’re ever in Toronto and you’re interested in geocaching (sort of like a scavenger hunt), then look up “High on Classics”!! Good one! I was actually out in the cold with Mr.S but persevered! Hehe.

A piece of me… in Dec 2010 (Happy New Year!)

a monthly game started by Shirley of Notes from the Toothfairy โ™ฅ
More info on the game: This game is to share a piece of you, every month. That way, you and your readers can see what’s happening in your life, including the changes. I.E. one month, you might love chocolate, a few months later you’ve might come to hate it. It’s also to remind ourselves of people you love and the plans you have – Shirley

What the heck happened to me? I totally forgot. Oh yeah it happened on Christmas and I was a busy bee that day! =P

ALSO HAPPY NEW NEAR YEAR to everyone! I will be having a giveaway soon so watch out for that. Anyway, onto the meme…

I donโ€™t like: not having enough sleep! Bad for you, I tell you! But I guess I’m done a little earlier today and I’m able to nappy nap at home before Mr.S and I watch Tangled. And OMFG Day Zero died due to heavy traffic. I panicked for 3 seconds – the thought of all my hard work picking goals for 1001 days. Luckily, they are safe :3

I want you to know: that I had loads of fun painting a tea set with my good friends!! And I finally did my first ever geocache on Jan 1st

Iโ€™ve planned: to make chicken wings for the first time (like home made, guys!) And also do some more geocaching.

I want to say to someone special: Yuki (at notyourcheese.orG), Thanks for always being there when I need to talk! And although 2010 was a bit rocky in the beginning, we worked it out and even then you were there when I needed some guidance. Love you!

Here’s a picture of the tea set we ended up painting,.

Anyway here are pictures of my two cousins (once removed) with my boyfriend AND DUFY. SO ADORABLE <3

How did you celebrate your New Years?
